FULTON – The city of Fulton Police Department will be participating in a “No Shave November Fundraiser” to raise awareness for the fight against cancer.

Between November 1 and 30, officers of the Fulton Police Department will be growing facial hair to consist of a full face beard to show a visual sign of our support for the fight.

During the week of October 28, the Fulton Police Department was saddened by the passing of a former member’s spouse to cancer.

That member is Kurt Brown who had retired in 2003 after 20 years of service with the city of Fulton Police Department.

He is still an active member of the Police and Fire Commission and is responsible for the hiring and promoting of officers within the Fulton Police Department.

In response to such news, the members of the Fulton Police Department individually donated $30 each (one dollar for every day in November) to be donated.

All proceeds will be given to local charities in the name of Barbara J. Brown.

Please visit the Fulton Police Department Facebook page to obtain further information regarding the fundraiser and how you can become a part.

Any and all additional donations will be sent in the name of Barbara J. Brown. missing or outdated ad config
