FULTON – Fulton Police arrested Robert Bort, 29, of Fulton, once on December 5, 2020 and again yesterday, January 6, 2021, both times for burglary.

On October 13, 2020 Fulton Police responded to the 100 block of S. Third St. for a reported burglary. At approximately 4 a.m., the homeowner was awoken by a family pet who alerted them to the presence of an unknown male in their living room. Upon police arrival, the suspect had fled the scene.

Officers collected evidence from the scene which was sent to the lab. Results of the laboratory analysis resulted in the identification of a suspect, who was arrested by Fulton Police yesterday, in the 250 block of W. Fourth St. S.

The following suspect was arrested: Robert L. Bort, 29 years old, of Fulton

Charges:

Bort was arraigned remotely in the Centralized Arraignment Part of County Court, and released. This is Bort’s second arrest for burglarizing occupied dwellings in the last month.

On December 5, 2020, Bort was arrested for Burglary 2nd, Petit Larceny, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, after he entered a home on the west side of Fulton and stole a Playstation gaming system, while a ten-year-old child was present.

Bort was arraigned in Fulton City Court by Judge Hawthorne on that case, and released as well.
