Today’s the vote on the Fulton City School District’s $8.8 million plan to finish upgrading and modernizing the school’s buildings.
Voting is from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and takes place in the four elementary schools.
The project aims to finish the work begun under the 2007 and 2009 bond issues. It would:
The district estimates that there will be no or minimal tax increases required to pay for the project. The district will use $350,000 from a reserve fund for capital projects to cover nearly all of the costs not covered by state aid.
If approved, the district expects that the work would happen during the summer of 2014 and the 2014-2015 school year.
