Oswego County Master Gardeners, Renee Ames and Stacey Johnson will present a program on “Growing Roses at Home†on Monday, June 23rd, 2008 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the Oswego County Cornell Cooperative Extension Office, 3288 Main St., Mexico, NY.
Have you ever thought roses were too fussy? Or, have you ever thought roses needed too many chemicals?
Even if you never thought roses were for you, we invite you to sit back, enjoy a cup of rose-hip tea and see how roses have more to offer than you ever imagined. From their presence in medieval gardens to basic maintenance today, see how the many varieties available today make a rose garden at home not only accessible but indispensable.
Beginning gardeners will come away with basic horticultural practices! Experienced gardeners can take home specific information on propagation techniques!
The cost to attend is only $5. Pre-registration is requested by Friday, June 20th, 2008 by calling Karen at 315-963-7286, ext. 201.
Please contact the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County office if you would like more information or have any special needs.
