A Fulton woman died Saturday night in a car crash in Lysander.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department alleges that Margaret Silkworth, 89, of Fulton failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Sprague Rd. and Tater Rd.
Her car slammed into a car driven by Erika Peterson, 18, of Memphis, NY.
An ambulance rushed Silkworth to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Peterson suffered a minor injury but declined to be treated.
Police have not issued tickets in this case, which remains under investigation.
