Man Found in Possession of Drugs, Handgun

FULTON, NY – On October 9, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Fulton Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute that had occurred near the B building of Gilbert Grove Apartments, police said today (Oct. 11).

A caller advised a vehicle had left the scene prior to police arrival.

A patrol unit in the area located the vehicle and executed a vehicle and traffic stop on Gilbert Street.

During the course of the investigation, a handgun was reportedly recovered.

A subsequent search of the occupants discovered the backseat passenger, Shaheim Brown, to be in possession of several different controlled substances, according to police.

Following the investigation, Brown (DOB: 1/13/1990) of Syracuse, NY, was charged with the following:

Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – D Felony
Weapon Manufacture, Transport, Defacement – D Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd – B Felony (6cts)
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th – A Misdemeanor
Criminal Impersonation 2nd – A Misdemeanor
Obstructing Governmental Admin 2nd – A Misdemeanor
Unlawful Possession of Marihuana – Violation
