by Steve Yablonski | December 30, 2015 1:57 pm

FULTON – The New York State Department of Transportation will hold an open house meeting on January 6, regarding a resurfacing project on Route 3 in the city of Fulton.

The open house will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the second floor courtroom at the Fulton City Hall, at 141 S. First St.

At the meeting, preliminary drawings for the upcoming project will be available for review and representatives from NYSDOT will be present to answer questions.

No formal presentation is planned.

Preliminary plans call for milling and resurfacing Route 3 from Lakeview Avenue to the eastern city line near Oneida Street.

In addition, minor drainage, sidewalk, traffic signal and safety improvements will take place at various locations within the project area.

Traffic will be maintained on-site during construction, with flaggers when necessary.

Access to driveways will be maintained at all times during construction.

Work is expected to take place during the 2016 construction season.

This open house is part of the continuing effort by the Department to encourage public participation in the development of transportation projects.

Fulton City Hall is accessible to people with disabilities.

Please contact Mike Washburn, P.E. at (315) 428–3227 if a sign language interpreter, assisted listening system, or other accommodation will be required to facilitate your participation in the open house.
