The Oswego City Republican Committee, meeting at its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 17, unanimously endorsed David Renzi for the 48th New York State Senate District.

“David Renzi made a positive impression on the Oswego City Republican Committee, said City GOP Chairman Paul Santore.

“His easy, casual style and forthrightness was very appealing to the members of the City Committee. Dave came across as very genuine and caring, and his direct, no-nonsense answers to committee questions were very well received.

“He committed to a positive, issues-based campaign directed from Central and Northern N.Y. This was welcome news to the committee,” Santore said.

The City Republicans’ endorsement comes on the heels of the announcement by the region’s four Assembly members that they were also backing Renzi.

“I am pleased by the growing and positive response to my candidacy for State Senate,” Renzi said. “The people of the 48th Senate District need a representative who understands the hopes and needs of the people who live here, and who can deliver on his promises. I plan that kind of Senator for the people of Jefferson, Oswego and St. Lawrence Counties,” Renzi said.

The 48th Senate District includes Jefferson, Oswego and part of St. Lawrence County.
