Being new to the election process and going through the dismissal of my signatures, which caused me to enter the mayoral race as an independent candidate has been both a valuable lesson in the election procedures and put me as an independent candidate.
Fortunately for our citizens, being an independent candidate, I won’t be restricted to the party specific committees and will be able to provide the citizens with more in a shorter period of time. I myself am not party specific. Although it would have been a great honor to be endorsed by a major party, it has also given me the opportunity to meet so many more people while out recanvassing for signatures and talk about their vision for their city. I am very humbled by the overwhelming support I have received and for the many volunteers that helped me go out and re-sign new petitions to get me on the ballot.
We are very excited to be on this November’s ballot and I believe that my plan and vision for the city is worth fighting for. I promise the people that I will continue to do my best for the people of Fulton and have all voices be heard. I will continue to take a stand against the issues and challenges that face this great city and fight for our future vision. I am beyond grateful for the many opportunities I have been given to share my plan and look forward to continuing to working together to better our community. Together we can make it happen.
