A Pennellville man was hit by two vehicles as he tried to walk across an interstate highway in Cicero Thursday night, State Police say.

According to police, Michael G. Moore, 53, was walking across Route 81’s northbound lanes in Cicero at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

He was hit by a pickup truck driven by Wade Czajkowski, 39, of Calcium.  Behind Czajkowski’s vehicle was a car driven by Amanda Card, 32, of Central Square.  Police say she swerved, but could not avoid hitting Moore as he lay on the highway.

Moore was taken to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.  He was initially listed in critical condition.

Police say neither driver will be ticketed.
