FULTON, NY – At 9:36 a.m. Tuesday, Fulton police responded to a call at 236 Oneida St. for a report of a man that pointed a shotgun at another resident of the house and threatened to shoot them.
On police arrival, it was learned that there had been a domestic dispute with the complainant and in the presence of two children. The residents of the house were evacuated as it was believed that the suspect, 48-year-old Michael H. Jachimek, was in a rear bedroom of the house.
Neighboring residents were also evacuated for precautionary purposes, police said. Further investigation found that Jachimek had possibly fled the house out a rear door.
With the assistance of the Fulton Police K-9, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department and Border Patrol, a perimeter was established. A check of buildings at the rear of the property found Jachimek hiding in a garage adjacent to the residence.
Jachimek was taken into custody without further incident. An unloaded Remington 870 Express 12 gauge shotgun was recovered inside the residence.

Jachimek was arraigned by Fulton City Court Judge Ludington and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
