Fulton Police say a Palermo man had four pounds of marijuana in his home when they searched it this week.

As a result, Jason M. Puma of 488 Red Schoolhouse Rd. was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon.
Along with the marijuana, police allege they seized several marijuana pipes and digital scales for weighing marijuana.
Marijuana can retail for $1,000 per pound or more, according to the federal government’s estimate of street prices. A website that allows marijuana users to report what they pay estimates the price of marijuana in New York to be between about $170 and $400 per ounce, depending on quality and location.
Fulton Police say this arrest is part of a broader investigation into alleged drug sales in the city. They ask anyone with information to call their tip line at 598-TIPS.
