Red Cross Cites May Volunteer Of Month

OSWEGO, NY – Roberta Barbera has been chosen as American Red Cross volunteer of the month for May 2008.

[1]Roberta’s volunteer service to the Red Cross includes coordinating several Red Cross clubs in Oswego City School District schools and serving on the advisory committee.

She recently coordinated a spaghetti dinner with all of the local Red Cross clubs in order to give them some leadership and fundraising training.

Along with providing a great fun opportunity for the youth the dinner raised more than $2,000 for the American Red Cross.

The volunteer of the month program is underwritten by Dunkin Donuts with the recipient receiving a gift card as an expression of appreciation.
