Rides, Games, Food, and a Church’s History at All Saints’ Festival, Starting Tonight

Fulton’s All Saints’ Episcopal Church celebrates its 175th anniversary this weekend with a community festival, which begins Friday evening and runs through Sunday afternoon.

The church, on West First Street., next to City Hall, will offer rides and games from Ontario Amusements, along with food and music for the entertainment of the public.  It takes place in the public parking lot and in the veterans’ memorial park along West First Street.

Proceeds from the event will support the church’s mission and its weekly Tuesday night dinners, free meals for people in need.

The church will offer pulled pork sandwiches for sale, and a local Methodist church men’s group will sell hamburgers, hotdogs and potato chips.  Kathy’s Cakes and Specialty Treats of Fulton will offer baked goods, along with slushies and baked apples.

A dixieland band plays this evening  from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Mike Shatrau performs Saturday night at 5.

There will also be tours of the historic church available on Saturday from 2 – 4 p.m.  Tours will explain the history of the church and the meaning of its many stained glass windows.
