‘Rock the Block,’ a one-day festival of music and food on the Fulton riverfront, returns from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wed. July 22, it was announced by Wes Dean, event chair and owner of Red Baron Pizza, an event sponsor.

“We wanted to keep the good times coming to downtown Fulton following the momentum of a very successful Tunes in June program,” Dean said. “We’ve packed three hours of great entertainment and food into this free event that became tremendously popular when it was introduced two years ago. As in the past, the city will be blocking off S. First St. between Rochester and Cayuga streets from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.to create this special venue where we’ll set up 32 picnic tables and four food booths.

“A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Fulton Public Library’s Elevator Fund.

“Entertainment, set under the riverfront gazebo, will be provided by The Cortini Brothers & Friends. Food will be available for sale by Blue Moon Grill,Tavern on the Lock, Red Baron Pizza, and Shremp Hot Dogs. In addition, the Fulton Lions Club will be selling tickets for their Labor Day Duck Derby and Lions Loot Sweepstakes. Plus, local craftsman Bob Green will set up a display of his hand-built canoes, and there will be a 50-50 raffle.”
