Scene Around Town: Boats on the Move

by Contributor | August 17, 2011 9:29 am

The canal locks at Fulton were busy Tuesday night. Around 6:30 p.m., we caught sight of a small parade of boats making the turn along the Oswego River at the city's southern border. The two boats you see here were followed quickly by two others. A group of kayakers had just gotten out of the water at Indian Point Landing, and it was a good thing -- they'd have been tossed by the wake the boats made as they hit the curve doing the speed limit, 30 m.p.h.
