State Police in Fulton tonight (Aug. 19) are investigating a motorcycle accident that occurred on State Route 481 in the town of Schroeppel.
The investigation revealed Scott J. O’Connor, 48, from Pennellville, was operating a 1997 Honda motorcycle southbound on Route 481 when he lost control of his motorcycle after rounding a curve.
The motorcycle then went off the east shoulder of the roadway, striking an earth embankment and becoming airborne striking a delineator.
The motorcycle came to rest on the west shoulder of the north bound lane ejecting O’Connor into the median.
O’Connor was transported to Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, by Mentor Ambulance.
He is listed in serious condition, according to State Police.
