Statement Regarding Reported Threats to Fulton City Schools

FULTON – The City of Fulton Police Department has investigated recent reports concerning alleged threats directed toward Fulton City Schools. The purpose of this statement is to provide accurate information and reassurance to the community.

On December 10, 2025, the City of Fulton Police Department received information from the
New York City Police Department concerning an email that referenced multiple unknown
schools in New York. The email contained a bomb threat and included a ransom demand, listing
an address located within the City of Fulton. An immediate investigation was initiated. It was
determined that the referenced location in the City of Fulton was not involved in the threat.
Further investigation revealed that the email originated from an account based overseas. Based
on these findings, the threat has been deemed as not credible.

On December 10, 2025, the Department received multiple reports of a possible school shooting
threat. A comprehensive investigation was immediately initiated. Following careful review, it
was determined that there was no credible evidence to substantiate the allegations.

On December 11, 2025, the Department received numerous complaints regarding a Snapchat
video circulating within the community. The video depicted a juvenile male placing what
appeared to be a revolver into a backpack. Officers promptly identified and located the
individual involved. Subsequent investigation confirmed that the item shown was a BB gun, not
a firearm. It was further established that the video had been recorded on December 7, 2025, and
that no direct threats were made in connection with the recording.

The City of Fulton Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of
our schools and community. We continue to work closely with partner agencies to monitor and
investigate any reports of potential threats. At this time, there is no credible information to
substantiate any threats to Fulton City Schools or the community.
