The Oswego Children’s Theater will be hosting auditions for the classic musical, “The Wizard of Oz” on Sunday, June 15 from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. and Monday, June 16 from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m., at the home of the Mosher Family located at 151 East Seneca Street, in Oswego.
This production is open to all area youth from 3 to 21.Those auditioning should be prepared to recite a short monologue, such as nursery rhyme, and sing a song. Cast members may also be asked to read from the script and sing from the score. The play requires a large cast with many individual roles available.
The show is based on beloved 1939 MGM movie version of the “Wizard of Oz” featuring Judy Garland and the iconic song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”
Lyndise Lee Mosher will direct this reprise production of “The Wizard of Oz”. Mosher directed the show several years ago as the inaugural production of Oswego Children’s Theater.
“The Wizard of Oz” is slated to be performed the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August at the Frances Marion Brown Theater
