TRAFFIC ALERT: Expect Lane Closures August 20-22, 25, 26 on Route 48, South of Fulton

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that, weather permitting, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, through Friday, August 22, and during the same hours on Monday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 26, motorists will encounter single-lane traffic in alternating directions (controlled by flaggers) on Route 48 from the Onondaga/Oswego county line to the south city line of Fulton.

This lane closure is necessary to facilitate resurfacing work.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
