Vehicles Pulled From Pond Hours After Tragic Accident

Update:

GRANBY, NY – State Route 3 between Route 8 and Rathburn Road remained closed as of midnight as State Troopers were still on the accident scene.

By 11 p.m. tow truck operators began pulling the unrecognizable Honda Civic and overturned FedEx Ground truck from nearly 3 feet of water along the north side of Route 3.

The vehicles went off the road approximately 1,000 feet west of the traffic light at Route 8.

State police accident reconstruction experts were still on the scene taking measurements and inspecting the vehicles as each was winched back onto the highway.
