OSWEGO – On Saturday, June 1, at around 9:58 p.m., members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on County Route 17, north of Vida Drive in the town of Williamstown.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Dodge pickup truck and a 2007 Chrysler van collided head-on.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the van was transported to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse with injuries.
There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on-scene by the New York State Police, Amboy Volunteer Fire Department, Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department and NOCA Ambulance.
The accident is still under investigation and more information will be released on Monday.
