Inaugural Ceremony for 2018 Common Council and City Organizational Meetings Set

OSWEGO/ FULTON -The swearing in ceremony for the five new Oswego councilors and first council meeting of 2018 will be held January 1 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 13 W. Oneida St., Oswego.

The Oswego Common Council will be sworn in, each member individually by Oswego County Supreme Court Judge James W. McCarthy.

Following the oath of office, the 2018 Common Council will have its annual organizational meeting with the election of the Council President and Vice President.

The event is open to the general public.

The Fulton Common Council will hold a special / inaugural meeting on January 1 at 1 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 141 S. First St., Fulton.

There will be no public comment period at this meeting due to the inauguration.

The election of the Council President will be held.

During the regular council meeting, various mayoral appointments will be made.

The meeting is open to the public.
