Oswego County Health Department Announces Potential COVID-19 Exposure At Mexico Credit Union

MEXICO, NY – The Oswego County Health Department is investigating a confirmed case of COVID-19 at the Oswego County Federal Credit Union, 5828 Scenic Ave., Mexico.

Customers who visited the credit union on the following dates and times may have been exposed to COVID-19:

Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang said anyone who visited the credit union during those time periods should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, chills, repeated shaking with chills, gastrointestinal illness and new loss of taste or smell.

People experiencing COVID symptoms should call their health care provider from home. People should not go to emergency departments unless they are experiencing life-threatening symptoms.

“The credit union has taken every precaution possible to ensure the safety of our members,” said Oswego County Federal Credit Union CEO Bill Carhart. “We have provided hand sanitizer before approaching member solution representatives, installed Plexiglas shields at each teller line, masks are mandatory and teller stations are sanitized after each transaction.”
