A Look At Oswego’s Independance Day Parade

The Port City’s annual parade kicked off at 1 p.m. Sunday and lasted until nearly 3 p.m.
The event had a little something for everyone, from music to a variety of vehicles and bands interspersed with several patriotic floats.
[1] ….. even if the “cone” section was missing
[2] Chuck Miller drives his classic Mustang
[3] Several horses braved the hot pavement to the delight of the crowd
[4] The Fire and Police Band entertain the crowd
[5] The Oswego Winter Guard
[6] The Great Rope Carry is re-enacted at the parade
[7] The Oswego Children’s Theatre previews Shrek, the Musical
[8] Auangeline and Ayliann Miner prepare to watch the parade
[9] A member of the Gouverneur High School Marching Wildcats Band hurls her baton into the air and catches it again.
[10] The Towpath Fife and Drum Band performs for the crowd
[11] Sno-cones were a popular treat along the hot parade route ……..
[12] The Fulton Polish Home’s float had a patriotic flair

[14] A firefighter in full turn-out gear greets members of the crowd
[15] The Island Band is always a crowd favorite
