Auburn Woman Facing Welfare Fraud Charges

OSWEGO – On Sept. 17 at 11:14 a.m., deputies arrested Stephanie M. Suhey, 25, of R 106 Oak Creek Town Homes, Auburn.

She was charged with fourth degree grand larceny, fourth degree welfare fraud and first degree offering a false instrument for filing, all class E felonies.

The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Oswego County Department of Social Services.

Suhey allegedly received services in the form of Food Stamps from March 2012 through August 2012 due to not reporting income received.

She is scheduled to answer the charges on September 29 in the Town of Mexico Court.
