The Oswego High School Chamber Singers, under the direction of Veronica Shaver, are on stage at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Sunday, March 18.

During the Heritage Festival last year the group received a “Gold” rating and an invitation to the Big Apple for this year’s spectacular event.
This trip will provide a memorable musical, cultural and social excursion to New York City.
Chamber Singers representing the Oswego High School and the Oswego City School District includes Justin Abbott, Hannah Allen, Cameron Caruso, Erin Chetney, Jane Coty, Duane Crapser, Michael Crisafulli, Lauren Dafoe, Samantha Davis, Billy DeLapp, Colton Dryden, Josh Ewig, Monica George, Cassie Hondro, Emily Hurlbutt, Julia Knight, Maddison Neuland, Zemiah Phrance, Tyler Rigby, Joseph Ruggio, Katherine Schermerhorn, Kaela Schafer, Tara Stacy and Nicholas Williams.
The singers departed from Oswego on Friday via train and will head directly to rehearsal at the Roosevelt Hote for the Sunday performance.
Rehearsal will continue on Saturday for six hours before the students go to dinner in Little Italy.
Sunday the singers will visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral before attending a sound check on stage at Carnegie Hall.
The culminating performance will be at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday as they join together with outstanding music ensembles from throughout the nation.
On Monday the Chamber Singers will have an opportunity to relax after a very hectic weekend.
They will take a tour of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty as well as visit the 9-11 Ground Zero Memorial and tour some of the historic areas of New York City.
