At about 12:41 p.m. today (July 24), members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Route 15 near Van Auken Road in the town of Boylston for a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist.
The investigation revealed a child was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck while riding his bicycle westerly on CR 15.
The child was transported to Upstate Hospital, Syracuse, with life-threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The operator and sole occupant of the pickup truck was not injured as a result of the accident.
No charges have been filed.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
