City of Oswego Announces Water Distribution for Residents Impacted by Boil Water Advisory

OSWEGO – August 11, 2025 – The City of Oswego is coordinating with the American Red Cross to provide bottled water to residents impacted by the current boil water advisory. 

A drive-through-style water distribution will take place today through Wednesday, as supplies last, at the James P. Cullinan Ice Rink, located at 281 W 5th Street. Residents should enter the Kingsford Park School parking lot from the Niagara Street entrance to access the distribution site. 

Details: 

Location: James P. Cullinan Ice Rink – 281 W 5th Street (Enter via Kingsford Park School parking lot, Niagara Street entrance) 

When: o Monday, August 11: 3pm – 7pm 

o Tuesday, August 12: 9am – 7pm 

o Wednesday, August 13: 9am – 7pm 

Distribution Limit: 2 cases of bottled water per household as supplies last 

Provided By: The American Red Cross 

Anyone who is unable to make it to the distribution location but is in need of bottled water is directed to contact (315) 343-2161. 

“We want to ensure residents affected by the boil water advisory have immediate access to safe drinking water,” said Mayor Robert A. Corradino. “We are grateful to the American Red Cross for stepping up to support our community during this time.” 

Residents are reminded to continue following the boil water advisory guidelines until the City announces it has been lifted. Updates will be shared through official City communication channels.
