OSWEGO – The county and Sheriff’s Silver Star Association have a new contract in place.
The legislature approved the pact at Thursday night’s meeting.
The county and the association reached a tentative agreement on March 27.
Members of the association had already ratified the contract on May 20. It runs from 2018 through 2022.
Negotiations between the two parties had been going on since the previous contract expired on Dec. 31, 2017.
Effective Jan. 1, 2018, hourly rates for 2017 shall be increased by 2% for grades 1-4 only.
Effective Jan. 1, 2019, hourly rates for 2018 shall be increased by 2%; the same for Jan. 1, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
