Eastside Oswego Man Facing Felony Rape Charges

OSWEGO, NY – On Tuesday, the Oswego City Police Department received a complaint of an alleged sexual assault.
An investigation was conducted and on Thursday, Roderick C. Matott, 56, of 112 ½ E. Oneida St., Oswego, was arrested and charged with the following:
Rape in the 1st degree- by forcible compulsion- Class B Felony
Rape in the 2nd degree, Actor more than 18 years old and victim under 15 years of age- Class D Felony.
It is alleged that over the course of several months in 2013 the defendant did engage in sexual conduct with a victim under the age of 15.
Matott was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bail bond.
He has a return court date of January 30 at 9:30 a.m.
