OSWEGO – Sheriff’s deputies have charged a Fulton man with abusing a child multiple times.

At 3:05 a.m. today (Feb. 9), John Collett III, 60, of 3640 SR 3, Fulton, was arrested for first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony; second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a class D felony; and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
The arrest stems from the investigation into incidents that occurred between the Fall/Winter 2016 through February 4, 2018, at a residence in the town of Palermo.
He allegedly engaged in multiple encounters of sexual contact with the victim being less than 13 years of age.
Collett was arraigned in the Town of Palermo Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
He is scheduled to return to court on March 5.
