MEXICO, NY – Recently, Mexico Wish Kid Alyssa David got the surprise of a lifetime as she celebrated her 14th birthday.

Make-A-Wish Central New York presented her with a personalized Arctic Cat all-terrain vehicle.
Alyssa has a life-threatening gastrointestinal disorder and her one true wish was for an ATV to spend more time outdoors with family and friends.
On the evening of her birthday celebration, Make-A-Wish surprised her with the custom grey and black ATV, which awaited her in a truck just outside of the restaurant.
When she saw the ATV for the first time, Alyssa was all smiles.
After receiving the ATV, Make-A-Wish Wish Granting Volunteer Terry Baum, of Oswego, asked, “What do you think? Do you like it?”
Alyssa responded, “I don’t like it… I absolutely love it!”
“She kept saying, ‘This is awesome! This is awesome!’” Alyssa’s father, Shawn David said.

Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York is dedicated to granting the special wishes of children, between the ages of 2 ½ and 18, who are living with life-threatening medical conditions.
