During the Mayoral report, Mayor Robert Corradino acknowledged International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It was on this day in 1945 that the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated. Corradino spoke about Oswego’s part in Holocaust Remembrance, saying, “We have that tie-in with the Safe Haven Museum. You might say we are a part of the story.

Also, during the Mayoral report, Corradino reiterated that the parking ban in Oswego is still in effect, prohibiting parking on the street between midnight and 6 a.m. “As you can see outside, winter has not left us. But we’re hoping and keeping our fingers crossed,” explained Corradino, “As soon as the weather breaks, we will lift the ban to give some relief for people who do not have convenient parking in their driveway.

Councilman Shawn Burridge could not attend tonight’s meeting. His absence was excused.

The meeting saw the passing of resolutions proposed last week. Here they are again.
