Oswego High School’s Marching Buccaneers posted a solid improvement in scores at Cicero-North Syracuse high school on Saturday in the second field band event of the season.
The Marching Bucs posted a score of 76.15 for its show, up about four points from last week’s opening-night performance.
The Bucs compete in the large-school National class. They finished behind perennial power West Genesee, as well as Victor, Liverpool and Webster.
They host their own show this coming Saturday.
Local marching bands from Phoenix and Central Square also competed at C-NS. Phoenix took the Small Schools 2 category with a 65.05 score. Central Square won the Large Schools 2 category, scoring 68.75. Both schools were the only ones to compete in those classes. Both will be in Oswego this weekend.
