OSWEGO, NY – An Oswego couple is facing felony welfare fraud charges.

On Aug. 26 at 9:50 a.m., Robert L. Calderone, 32, and Jessica L. Jackemuk, 29, both of 182 E. Ninth St., Oswego, were each arrested for third-degree welfare fraud and third-degree grand larceny, both class D felonies.
The arrests stem from an investigation that found Mr. Calderone had reportedly failed to report all of his income from 2012 while the couple was receiving benefits from the Oswego County Housing Assistance Program, which would have made them ineligible to receive their assistance.

Arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Auyer, Town of Minetto Court, Mr. Calderone was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.
Ms. Jackemuk was released on her own recognizance.
They are scheduled to answer the charges before Oswego City Court on Sept. 16.
