OSWEGO, NY – On Tuesday at approximately 10:30 a.m., Oswego City Police arrested and charged 44-year-old Thomas D. Flett Jr., of 6 E. Seventh St., with the following:
4 counts -Promoting Gambling in the 1st degree, Class E Felony
1 count – Possession of Gambling Records in the 1st degree, Class E Felony
1 count – Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, Violation

This arrest is the culmination of an investigation conducted by members of the Anti Crime Team into an alleged illegal bookmaking operation being run by Flett.
The criminal charges lodged against Flett allege that he was taking in bets in excess of $5,000 per day.
The Unlawful Possession of Marihuana charge is a direct result of Investigators locating a small amount of marihuana upon conducting a search warrant at Flett’s residence on February 4.
Flett was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Oswego City Court on March 28 at 9:30 a.m.

On March 12, at about 5:18 p.m. the Oswego City Police Departments Anti Crime Team arrested and charged 22-year-old John M. Stevenson III, of 956 Middle Road Lot 42W with the following:
Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree – Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree – with intent to sell, Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, Class B Felony
The arrest is a result of an investigation in which Stevenson is alleged to have sold prescription narcotics to another individual.
As a result of this investigation investigators seized 138 illegally possessed narcotic tablets and a small amount of marihuana.
Stevenson was arraigned in Oswego City Court and granted pre-trial release.
He has a return court date of April 9, at 9:30 a.m.

On March 12 at approximately 9:20 p.m., members of the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti Crime Team arrested and charged two Syracuse residents with the following:
Johnathan Delgado, 26, of 318 Robinson St. Syracuse, was charged with:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree – Intent to Sell, Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree, Class D Felony
Pedro M. Ramos, 37, of 318 Robinson St., Syracuse, was charged with:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree- Intent to Sell, Class B Felony
Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree- Unclassified Misdemeanor
These arrests are a result of an investigation in which the subjects were found to be in possession of 11 bags of crack cocaine having a total weight of approx. 4.1 grams.
The charges allege that said crack cocaine was possessed with the intent to sell such.
Both Delgado and Ramos were arraigned in Oswego City Court.
Ramos was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of no bail.
Delgado was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash bail / $30,000 secured bail bond.
They are set to reappear in Oswego City Court on March 19 at 9:30 a.m.
