Oswego’s Visitor Center Thanks Common Council For Continued Support During Meeting

OSWEGO – The Oswego Common Council held their bi-monthly meeting last night, November 28. The meeting was brief, with all items on the agenda unanimously passing.
Chairperson for Oswego’s Promotion and Tourism Advisory Board (PTAB) and Oswego Visitor Center Organizer Eva Corradino spoke during the Public Session[1] portion of the meeting, thanking the Council for their continued endorsement.
“I just wanted to reiterate our thanks for the support that we’ve had for the past two summers for the Visitor’s Center; and thank you for any future support you will give us because it’s a wonderful space, we’re using it well, and it’s a great spot for the History Shoppe too,” Corradino said. “Thank you for considering the proposal to support us.”

Approve minutes from November 14 Common Council meeting
Approve Use of Public Space – Nicloe Reed, owner of commercial property located at 218 Syracuse Avenue, for the construction of an ADA ramp
Approve Use of Public Space to Jonathan Riockwell for a Human Versus Zombies Nerf Game to be held Saturday, April 29, 2023
Approve Use of Public Space to the Ancient Order of the Hibernians in order to host the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 4, 2023
Accept donation for a Memorial Bench from Francis Zaryski in memory of Michelle Borden with preferred placement at Shapiro Park
Accept bid from Boardsafe Docks at Northeast Products and Services for work on the Personal Watercraft Dock at Wright’s Landing Marina
Accept bid submitted by John Dudley Construction for the installation of Primary Tank Equipment at the Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant
Authorize Mayor to sign a lease agreement extension with Camelot Lodge, LLC for the use of a storefront at 201 West First Street for a Tourism Center
Authorize City Chamberlain to complete a transfer of funds from the Tourism Contracted Services Account to the CDA 6420 Account for Reimbursement of the CNY Pumpkin Festival Sponsorship
Authorize the City Chamberlain to complete a Budget Amendment to the Auditing Account for additional time required to complete the additional auditing of Federal, State and Grant Funding
Authorize City Chamberlain to complete a Budget Amendment to the CDA 6420 Account to reimburse payroll expenses
Authorize City Chamberlain to complete a budget amendment to the Code Enforcement Contracted Services Account for the demolition of 46 Mercer Street
Authorize City Chamberlain to complete various budget amendments to various Youth Bureau Accounts to cover several 2022 expenses
Waive rules of Common Council to present Resolution No. 366 from the floor without Committee Consideration
Authorize Mayor to enter into an Employment Agreement with Michael Zalewski, Assistant Fire Chief
