Granby Man Dies In Parish Car Crash

OSWEGO, NY – On Wednesday (December 9), at 5:07 p.m., members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Mexico Volunteer Fire Department and Mcfee Ambulance Service responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on State Route 104  in the town of Parish.

The investigation is preliminary.

However, it appears the eastbound vehicle, operated by Jeddie E. Pitre of Granby, struck a tractor-trailer operated by Richard D. Preeman III of Parish.

Preeman was backing the tractor-trailer into his residential driveway on the south side of the roadway into the path of Mr. Pitre.

Mr. Pitre was pronounced dead at the scene, his passenger was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The  accident remains under investigation.
