OSWEGO, NY – The identity of the body found in Lake Ontario on May 1, 2010 has been determined.
Oswego Police, working with the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, have determined the identity to be that of 61-year-old Robert E. Arden of County Route 57, Oswego.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department had listed Mr. Arden as a missing person on April 2.
According to Police Chief Michael J. Dehm Jr., “Mr. Arden was positively identified through a fingerprint comparison. The investigation into the exact cause is still pending but, at this time, there is no evidence that suggests that Mr. Arden’s death was the result of foul play.â€
