SANDY CREEK – Residents of the villages of Sandy Creek and Lacona no longer need to boil their drinking water.

Jiancheng Huang, Oswego County Director of Public Health, said several water samples were taken Wednesday and Thursday.

The test results are satisfactory, indicating that the water is safe for residents to drink and use for cooking.

The Sandy Creek – Lacona water system lost pressure due to a water main break Tuesday morning, and residents were advised to boil water until further notice.

The water line was repaired.
