At 4:41 p.m. today (Nov. 24), State Police in Pulaski responded to a residence on Kehoe Road in the town of Sandy Creek for a report of an individual shot in a hunting accident.
NOCA Ambulance transported the individual to Oswego Hospital, where the individual was pronounced deceased, police said.
The victim may have been mistaken for a deer.
State Police were also assisted at the scene by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Environmental Conservation, and Sandy Creek Fire and Rescue.
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
