Student Facing Burglary, Other Charges

OSWEGO – SUNY Oswego police on Friday (May 6) charged student Dylan Volk, 19, of Syracuse with second-degree burglary, a felony, as well as several misdemeanors in connection with thefts reported that evening.

Student residents of two rooms in Seneca Hall reported cash, fake identification cards and jewelry missing between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Officers arrested Volk about 8:15 p.m.

In addition to burglary, he faces charges of petit larceny, fifth-degree possession of stolen property, possession of a forged instrument, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned in Oswego Town Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Oswego Town Court tonight (May 9).
