Town Of Granby Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

On Wednesday, August 9, Wade J. Midlar, 51, of 554 County Route 85 in the town of Granby was arrested by the New York State Police Major Crimes Unit for one count of Promoting an obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony.
Midlar is charged with uploading a video depicting child pornography via the internet.
He was arraigned by Judge Schmidt in the Town of Granby Court and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center on $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond.
This arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Mid-State Child Exploitation Task Force.
The Mid-State Child Exploitation Task Force is a Federal task force committed to investigating the sexual exploitation of children.
The task force consists of FBI and New York State Police members.
