OSWEGO, NY – Oswego City Police Chief Michael J. Dehm Jr. wishes to alert citizens of an upcoming traffic change.

The Oswego City Traffic Advisory Committee has recommended the removal of the flashing traffic signal on East Oneida Street at East Second Street.

The flashing signal at the intersection has not been in use recently due to a malfunction.

The intersection is currently governed by “All-way Stop” signs.

Mayor Randy Bateman has approved the change.

The Traffic Section of the Oswego Police Department is scheduled to remove the signal completely on or after June 8.

Motorists are advised to be alert to the recent change when approaching this intersection.
