On Tuesday (July 26), at 11:52 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 690 in the town of VanBuren for a traffic violation.

The driver, Morgan A. O’Neil, 20, from 147 ½ E. Bridge St., Oswego, was found to be operating the vehicle without insurance, police said.
She was further found to allegedly be in possession of marijuana and heroin.
Both passengers, Zachery J. Palmitese, 32, from 37 McCracken Drive, and Marc A. Walpole, 22, from 234 E. Sixth St., Oswego, were also in possession of heroin, according to the report.
Walpole was further found to also allegedly be in possession of marijuana.

All three occupants were taken into custody and charged as follows:
O’Neil: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
Palmitese: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor
Walpole: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation
All three are scheduled to appear in the Town of VanBuren Court on August 2.
