Trailer Fire In Palermo

PALERMO -At about 10:40 a.m. today (Jan. 21), the Palermo Volunteer Fire Department was activated for a possible trailer fire at 1365 County Route 54.
Early reports indicated that a child may still be in the trailer; it was later reported that the child was safe.
Fire units from Palermo, Central Square, Caughdenoy, Pennellville, Volney, Hastings and Mexico were all brought into the scene.
The homeowner was reportedly attempting to thaw frozen water pipes under the trailer.
