VOLNEY – At 10:40 a.m. today (July 11), State Police responded to a report of an unconscious male involved in a logging accident off Mullen Road in the town of Volney.
Investigation at the scene revealed Shane D. Moore, 54, of Fulton, had been cutting down trees at the site when he was struck by a falling branch.
Moore was pronounced deceased at the scene.
State Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
