OSWEGO – At about 7:19 a.m. today (Oct. 27), the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office along with the town of New Haven Fire/Rescue and McFee Ambulance were called to the scene of a fatal motor cycle accident on County Route 35 about one mile south of County Route 64 in the town of New Haven.
Christopher J. Berg, 40, of Villard Road, Palermo, was operating a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on County Route 35 when he left the roadway on the west shoulder and struck a utility pole, according to the police report.
Berg was the only person involved in the accident.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Burg was wearing a helmet.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
