by Contributor | September 15, 2025 10:57 am

OSWEGO – The City of Oswego is notifying residents that Constellation will conduct routine maintenance testing of its public notification system this week, Monday, September 15, through Friday, September 19, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

This testing is standard maintenance and is not a cause for alarm. No public action is required.

A limited number of outdoor warning sirens located within a 10-mile radius of the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station and the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant will be activated during this period.

These sirens are part of Constellation’s public notification system, which is routinely tested to ensure functionality and reliability.

Residents should note that this is only a test and should not be interpreted as an emergency.
